Rat Infestation Closes Tunbridge Wells Restaurant

Council issues emergency prohibition order

The Estro Pizza and More restaurant in Tunbridge Wells has been forced to close due to an order issued from the Town Hall in Tunbridge Wells.

Situated at 76 Mt. Pleasant Road, Estro Pizza and More was issued with an emergency prohibition order on 21 July and has closed with immediate effect.

The order reads: ‘Because of a serious and widespread rat infestation and poor maintenance of routine cleaning and structural repair resulting in a significant risk of contamination of food.’

The long-term fate of the restaurant is not known at this time.
