Further Business Grants Available

Two new discretionary grants for Tunbridge Wells

Tunbridge Wells Borough Council has launched two new discretionary grant schemes. Both of these grant schemes are until 5 pm on Friday 10 September. This includes:

The Local Event Organiser Fund

The aim of the Local Event Organisers Fund is to support businesses to organise future events that bring people to the Borough, supporting the wider economy.

This grant can be applied for by organisations that have had to cancel at least one event within Tunbridge Wells borough, or have run an event at significantly reduced capacity, due to either national or local Covid-19 restrictions. The event must have been scheduled to take place between 1 March 2020 and 19 July 2021.

This grant scheme is only for commercial organisers of events. These businesses must both be based within the Tunbridge Wells borough as well as the event taking place in the borough. Event organisation must also be the substantive part of the business (50% or more of the business income). Organisations that are in the supply chain or those that host events (but are not the organiser) are not eligible for this fund.
