Kent County Council (KCC) will launch its Holiday Activities and Food Programme for the Summer holidays on Monday 29 July.
The programme, which runs until 23 August, includes a wide range of fun events designed for families and young people between 5 and 16. From messy play, crafts and music, to sports, smoothie bikes, and nutritional cooking sessions – there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
Activities are taking place at Kent Family Hubs, as well as Kent Libraries, and Country Parks throughout the summer holidays - so you can take part in the Summer Reading Challenge at your local library as well as outdoor learning activities such as nature trails, pond dipping and den building at your nearest country park.
Sue Chandler, Cabinet Member for Integrated Children’s Services, said: “Our holiday activities and food programme provides a wide range of great opportunities for families and young people to have lots of fun over the summer. The activities across our family hub network, including district family hubs, libraries and country parks, are designed to be both exciting and educational - with fitness, nutrition, socialising and adventure at the heart of the programme.”
