Booking a Run to the Tip Could Be Permanent

Kent County Council consultation underway

In May 2020, Kent County Council introduced a booking system for those who wanted to take rubbish to the ‘tip’, due to Covid.

The Household Waste Recycling Centres as they are formally known, currently only accept advance booking from residents. KCC say that this has resulted in less queuing, less traffic as people visit less frequently and that many people found it useful to book ahead.

However, some residents still prefer to simply turn-up.

Kent County Council have launch a consultation, designed to discover whether residents are happy to continue with the booking system on a permanent basis.

The consultation can be found on the county council website and closed on 30 September 2021.
