Attempted Car Theft on Otford

CCTV and doorbell images are sought by police.

Doorbell camera and CCTV images are sought by officers after two men tried to steal a car in Otford.

The suspects managed to access the Volvo XC60 but then fled the scene after they were unable to start it.

The incident happened at around 1am on Monday 19 August 2024, outside a property in The Old Walk.

It is believed the men may have overridden a keyless entry system to enter the car, before leaving empty handed and walking in the direction of The Butts.

They were both wearing face masks, baseball caps with black motifs on the front, and shorts. One was carrying a rucksack.

Can you help?

The attempted theft was reported to Kent Police on Sunday 25 August and officers are urging residents in nearby roads to check any security systems which may show the suspects’ movements.
