Amelia Scott Project on Target

Plans are in place for the completion of the project

At the full council meeting of Tunbridge Wells Borough on Wednesday (7 July), the question was raised on the delay of completion of the Amelia building.

Councilor March, portfolio holder for Culture and Leisure, reported that the base build is due to be completed on 5 August 2021.

From 16 August, the fit-out contract is due to start, with a completion date at the end of the year.

There will then be a three-month period while the library is re-located and the various gallery areas fitted with their initial displays. The intention is for the Amelia to open in April 2022.
