Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks infection rates more than double
Ahead of the expected announcement on 12 July for the anticipated relaxations in 19 July, Covid cases across Kent have surged.
Tunbridge Wells Borough is now the second most infected area in the county, with Canterbury at the top of the list.
In the seven days to 2 July, the number of new infections in Tunbridge Wells reached 220, up from 89 in the previous period.
Tonbridge saw a smaller percentage increase, with cases up from 122, to 193 in seven days.
In Sevenoaks, the number more than doubles to 203, up from 93.
