A sixth man was arrested yesterday in connection with a Tunbridge Wells murder investigation. The 25-year old man from Essex was arrested and joins five others already taken into custody on Sunday. A woman was also arrested and has been released on bail. This follows Police finding a man fatally injured in Caley Road, Tunbridge Wells early on Saturday morning, following reports of a disturbance. Police are appealing for witnesses, including CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage,


Covid cases in West Kent continue to rise. In the week to the first of December, Sevenoaks cases per 100,000 rose by 65 to 595. In Tonbridge and Malling, the increase was 104 to 626. Tunbridge Wells has the second-highest rate in Kent at 702 a rise of 91 over the previous week.


Kent police are warning local residents to be on the watch out for fraudulent emails or texts inviting them to buy an Omicron PCR Test Kit. The NHS will never ask for bank details.


Local food banks across West Kent are asking for donations to cover the Christmas period. With the holiday period on the way, the food banks say it is easy to forget that their beneficiaries need to receive urgently needed food ahead of the big day, to help feed their families. The various local food banks have donation points in many supermarkets across West Kent.


Anyone suffering from domestic abuse can visit a Boots store and Ask for Ani. This code word will alert staff, who can put the individual in touch with the correct support service.


The Hurricanes baseball team in Tonbridge and launched an appeal to raise £1,000 in funds. The team, who train at Longmead football ground, currently don’t own any legal bats needed to play in tournaments and games. £600 has been pledged so far via GoFundMe.
