Broadcaster and local resident seeking nomination as the Conservative candidate for Tunbridge Wells
The Conservative Party in Tunbridge Wells is choosing a new candidate for the General Election.
That follows the surprise news last week that Greg Clark is stepping down after 19 years as the town’s MP.
One person who’s just thrown his hat in the ring is Iain Dale, who’s been a radio presenter on the news and phone in station LBC.
Iain Dale stood unsuccessfully for the Conservatives in North Norfolk in 2005.
He ended his show on Tuesday by saying he was leaving to try to get nominated as the Conservative candidate for Tunbridge Wells.
